Dorothy's Vineyard

A life-long native of Toronto, Canada, Dorothy Wilson’s ancestors came to North American on some of the first ships that brought colonists to the Eastern seaboard. With the same spirit that emboldened the colonists, Dorothy lived her life to the fullest. Married to Carl Wilson for 66 years before she passed away in 2005, Dorothy raised four very successful children, Ken, Donald, Norma and Debby.

When spirited Dorothy was 75, she decided that she and Carl needed some changes, so she designed and built a new home. That same year, she also bought a boat for her and Carl to enjoy excursions on Georgian Bay.

Dorothy Vineyard was so named because the syrah grown at this vineyard produces a robust, full-bodied wine that reflects Dorothy’s robust view for life and living.
