Vineyards

Our vineyard locations range from the loamy valley floor of the Dry Creek Valley to the more rugged and remote hilltop elevations around 2400 feet. Diane and Ken have named their vineyards after family members based on the characteristics of each vineyard.  As a reflection of their deep family roots nothing makes Diane happier than winning awards on her family estate wines.

To ensure their wines express the specific characteristics of each vineyard they cultivate their vines for low, intense yields. By trellising and using conservative pruning and canopy management, Diane attempts to control the flavors and intensity of her fruit. Just like raising her kids the influence of the winemaker is imprinted in every bottle.

While each vineyard's grapes expresses a unique character and distinctive profile of aromas and flavors, these wines all share the intensity of a vineyard well maintained and watched over. Although these vineyard practices are more labor-intensive, they are in keeping with our goal to produce the most luscious, elegant yet powerful wines possible by growing the best grapes possible.
